A new YouTube video claims to show the back housing for the rumored gold iPhone 5S, providing some clues about what Apple might release next.
Keaton Keller, of YouTube channel TechSmartt, showed the back housing for what he claims is Apple’s next-generation iPhone. The housing is a gold-champagne color, and looks similar in size to the iPhone 5.
In his video, embedded below, Keller notes that only the flash appears changed on the new 5S (it’s now rectangular). The headphone jack and Lightning port remain on the bottom, and the volume rockers and mute switch have the same design as they do on the 5.
Since it isn’t clear where Keller obtained the phone housing, Mashable is unable to verify the authenticity of his claims. Apple has not publicly acknowledged the iPhone rumors, but the Cupertino, Calif. company is expected to unveil new high-end and low-end iPhone models next month.
There are also reports that the iPhone 5S could come in a graphite color.
