Millennials have surpassed baby boomers to become America’s largest population–and many are also generating serious cash. Although research suggests that the likelihood of children out-earning their parents has declined sharply, a number of Millennial entrepreneurs (those between the ages of 19 and 35, according to Pew’s definition) — have a combined net worth eclipsing $79 billion.
These are the 10 richest Millennial entrepreneurs in the U.S., according to Forbes:
1. Mark Zuckerberg
The famed Facebook co-founder and CEO, 32, has an estimated net worth of more than $50 billion.
2. Dustin Moscovitz
Moscovitz helped Zuckerberg launch the social media giant before leaving in 2008 to co-found Asana, a workflow software company. The 32-year-old maintains a roughly 3 percent stake in Facebook, however, and has an estimated net worth of $9.6 billion.
3. Nathan Blecharczyk (tie)
Blecharczyk is the co-founder and CTO of Airbnb, the peer-to-peer lodgings site valued at $30 billion, and a former Inc. Company of the Year. At just 33 years-old, the entrepreneur has an estimated net worth of nearly $4 billion ($3.8 billion.)
4. Brian Chesky (tie)
The 35-year-old co-founder and CEO of Airbnb is also valued at nearly $4 billion.
5. Joe Gebbia (tie)
Gebbia helped to launched Airbnb back in 2008. With a net worth of nearly $4 billion, he currently serves as chief product officer, helping the company to expand into international markets.
6. Evan Spiegel
The co-founder of Snap Inc. (previously known as Snapchat) is now leading the social media giant to a hotly anticipated IPO, scheduled for early 2017. Spiegel, 26, is worth $2.1 billion.
7. Bobby Murphy
Murphy, 28, co-founded Snapchat back in 2011 (he and Spiegel were fraternity brothers at Stanford). Today, he’s worth $1.8 billion.
8. Ryan Graves
The first employee ever hired at Uber — the ride-sharing giant reportedly valued at $68 billion — Graves has focused on expansion projects at the company, such as the food delivery service uberEATS. The 33-year-old has a net worth of $1.58 billion.
9. Ben Silbermann
The co-founder and CEO of Pinterest, the scrapbooking site valued at more than $11 billion, is worth $1.57 million. Silbermann is 34-years-old.
10. John Collison
The world’s youngest self-made billionaire, Collison launched Stripe back in 2010 — along with his brother, Patrick Collison. Today, their payments processing business is worth as much as $9.2 billion. The entrepreneur, 26, is worth $1.1 billion.
